ABOUT SMILE TRAIN ORGANIZATION
Every year across the globe, millions of babies are born with a birth defect where their lip or mouth doesn’t form properly. Although there is a safe surgery that treats cleft lips and palates, countless children are still left untreated around the world. These children suffer from difficulty eating, breathing, hearing and speaking.
Smile Train is an international children's charity committed to repairing cleft lips and palates through safe and permanent surgery, which will forever improve these children’s lives.
This charity provides training, funding and resources to empower local medical professionals in 90+ countries to provide free cleft repair surgery and comprehensive cleft care in their own communities.
“Share a Smile” Initiative
Help us reach our goal to donate 10,000 Liively lip balms to charities and nonprofit organizations dedicated to helping those who were negatively impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. These people include frontline workers, foster children, homeless youth and low-income families. Join Liively’s "Share a Smile" initiative by opting into our mailing list at www.liively.org. For each sign-up, we’ll donate one Liively lip balm. No product purchase is necessary to participate.
SIMPLY THE BASICS
We are so excited to have partnered with Simply the Basics — one of the non-profit organizations that helps us donate Liively lip balms to at-risk youth and families.
Simply the Basics is the first National Hygiene Bank. Their mission is to improve and sustain the overall health and wellbeing of low-income communities, including people at risk of losing their homes, and people experiencing homelessness.
They empower these individuals through hygiene supplies and other essential resources, providing the dignity and humanity that comes with a better quality of life.
